Approx. 20 Mysis - young fry to adult needs free rehousing. If anybody in JHB would like to try and breed mysis, add them to a sump or display tank please contact me via the forum. I stay pretty close to clearwater mall and the tank they are housed in needs to be emptied asap.

Very keen! Are they easy to breed? Have a a few fish that go crazy for the frozen stuff.

Carlos, general consensus are that they are not incredible breeders but I have seen the opposite. If a tank is designed for them to hide and they are not left with their young (which they eat). You should have a relative amount of healthy young every so often (about the size of a adult brine shrimp).

They are great at keeping tanks clean - adding one or two as part of a cleaning crew is a plus

    Hi Crispin.

I would have offered them to Quintin had these not been the very same one's my sea-horse could not eat. Sea-horses do better with copepods and amphipods or insects that swim away from them. The young mysis are easily caught and eaten but these are those not scared of a Sea-horse.

I actually referred Quintin to the supplier with the current H.Kuda's in stock - very young pretty little guys but eating frozen mysis and newly hatched brine shrimp at the moment

Mmmmmm, don't really have the space for them, and adding them as a CUC will be a suicide mission, my copperband will probably die of happiness.

    Guys

You are allowed to feed them to your fish - I feel it's a little inhumane to drain them and the tank leaving them to die in the sun. Probably no difference to a food frency in someone's marine tank but it seems to be the lessor of two evils.

    Hey man.
I will take them off your hands and put them in my sump with plenty of macro algae if that is ok with you?
