Don't sweat it ! It is all about preparation and automation !

I was away for a month in new Zealand and all I had was a lady filling up my RO drum!

Came back nothing was wrong - just corals that have grow and insane amount and happy fish !!!

I automated even feeding with pellets, kalk stirrer with topup etc etc and it was all fine.

Good luck and enjoy the holiday!

I am also leaving overseas for a few days (10)... but my tank is fairly easy.. no kalk, no additives etc. RO top-up and thats about it.. did a waterchange yesterday, so new water, skimmer is clean, pumps all clean etc.

My dad is looking after the tank, but he had a crash course on it yesterday :p

    Ok -- but no laughing.
Im not the most tech savvy person around so what ive done is set up a Skype account and made the setting to be permantly logged in and to automatically answer all video calls. So while on holiday all i do is skype my tank and i get a video stream of the tank. Prob not the ideal way to do it, but it is cheap and seems to be working fine.

Awesome, only hastle is that if the power is out and the lapotop or pc has no backup power left, the connection is lost, but you can easily just ask the housekeeper to log you in again. Very very nice plan:thumbup:

Ive got someone coming in everyday, so should power go out they will be there to sort it out.
Only problem i can forsee is me spending my entire holiday watching my tank.
