    Thanks.

I Will have to take one from the side tonight. The LED`s were a kit from a only store that I imported and put together.

    It is 18 Cree XP-E 3w White LED`s and 18 Cree XP-E 3w Blue LED`s.
They are run off 3 Meanwell drivers running 12 LED`s each in series and i am currently planning on adding another set of 12 Blue`s to try get the colour temp a bit more to my liking. Currently i have the whites toned down a little.

Please give more info on your setup? Is it quite low maintenance?

    Looks awesome!

I wouldn't call it low maintenance because i am always tinkering with stuff and I seem to always over feed my fish so i am always fighting nitrates. The system goes as follows From Display tank it goes to the sump through a Course sponge then over DSB then through the protein Skimmer then through a Phosphate and Carbon Reactor and then back up to the Tank. I have a auto top up system that I run at night which doses Kalkwasser.

25-50 litre water changes a week and i replace Kalkwasser once a week.
Change carbon and antiphos 1 - 1.5 times a month
    Clean filter twice a week

Thanks guys/girls. The LED`s are 250 from the top of my tank to the bottom of the heatsink

    My order was the following

    1. Heatsink 8.46" Profile – 18" x 2

    2. 36 Cree XP-E Kit – Premium 18 XP-E Royal Blue / 18 Cool White

    3. 36 x LEDLink 70 Degree optics

    4. 2 x Thermal Adhesive to stick the LED`s to the heatsink

    5. 3 x Mean Well ELN 60-48D which can drive from 9 - 12 LED`s in series

    6. 1x 10V power supply that i bought from A1 Radio

If i did it again i would get heatsink locally as that adds a great amount to shipping costs and i would get a different ratio of LED colors , ie 24 blue LED`s and 12 White Led`s

When i make my tank wider i am going to add another 12 Blue`s to the configuration to get the right color of my tank

I also think you can get the drivers locally which might also help costs.

The sump which is a little small now but i am going to make a new one which will be double the size so i will have a much bigger dsb and more space to fit stuff in

a friend of mine is building it for me. I am still quite new to marine tanks so i might not be the best person to ask on sump design :(

i have made my own design and i just did allot of reading about placement and made the size to suit my equipment

If you need any help with LED`s that i actually have some experience with

There is a place called altech (not sure on spelling) in Durban close to springfield who sell cree LED`s. When i asked last year it was

R50excl vat for Cool White Cree XP-G R5 LEDs
R17excl vat for Royal Blue Cree XP-E LEDs

It might be more now because of the rand/dollar story but it should be cheaper then importing them

They have to get stock so it is a 2 week wait but it is cheaper then importing. I think the only thing that we cant get here are the optics for them.
