Please could I get and I ID of what has been circled in blue?
Also you can see the one coral has been a bit injured, is there something I should do or should I just leave it (will it heal by itself).
Thanks for the help with this.

Hi Dean - this is aptaisia. Kill it as soon as possible, with a calcium hydroxide/RO water solution - mix a little bit of RO water with the calcium hydroxide powder - put in a syringe (without the needle) and squirt over the aptaisia...... This SHOULD kill the aptaisia.

Calcium hydroxide = slaked lime - this you can get at pharmacies (look at the AlphaKem or similar brand)....

Yes - it is and definitely becomes a huge pest. They can and do sting corals to death.....

This mixture won’t kill anything else in the tank. A you can see it is very close to some of my coral?

The mixture should be like toothpaste. So - if you squirt over the aptaisia, it should stick to the aptaisia only. Meaning - NO - it will then not kill anything else in the tank.

i prefer to use boiling water , in a syringe with a needle , i inject the boiling water inside the aptaisia or in is hole . i use a big syringe and go fast for the water to stay very very hot , for me it works , sometimes i've got to do it 2/3 times if the little bugger is strong . but it works !!
