    Hi Guys
I bought an algea blenny 2 weeks ago. I chose him/her because he was nice and healthy looking.

He/she has got very thin. There is algea for it to eat. I also put norri in the tank but the only interaction it has with the norri is to occassionally sit on it.

I bought it as a replacement for the other blenny that "vanished"(must have died).

    What else can I try?

My next question is that I was given about a 8 small hard corals and a few small soft corals. In the tank I already had an anenome, leathers, "cauliflowers" and a couple of hard corals. Basically the population has more than doubled overnight.

My tank is a Juwel 260 litre. It has a canister filter. Somebody made a suggestion that I use my spare tetratec canister and add additional carbon and phosphate remover and add it to my tank. What do you think?

You can add another canister for your phosphate media. I'm not sure obn teh blenny but is he being bullied by any chance?

The blenny is about 10cm long. He isn't bullied, just annorexic. Do you anybody who has the knack with blennys.
Nobody seems to be giving any advise. Thankyou for yours Tony. I appreciate it

Blennies are usually quiet hardy fish and usually take to food immediately. Could you perhaps take a pic of the fish to look at? Maybe it's sick

    Hi Lisa,

The 1st fish I had was a blenny and a great fish to have! Had him for over a year now! So...what other fish are in the tank? Is there enough hiding spots? What are your water perameteres? Nitrate, PH, Salinity? Do you have any pictures of your setup? All these may be able to help us get to the bottom of your blenny problem!

I'm away at the moment. Will show pics of setup next week.
    My other fish are;
    3 small damsels
    6 line wrasse
    radiant wrasse
    cleaner wrasse
    goldie
    maroon clown
    pajama cardinal

    2 shrimps

The only fish that seems to bug him is the cleaner wrasse which is about 10 smaller then the Blenny.

Will check perametres when back on Monday.
    Plenty hiding spots.

Have you tried some mussel meat chopped up finely - i see that my lawnmower blenny goes crazy for it. I think their diet also consists of meaty food, not only algae

My bristetooth tang would chase the blenny back to its hiding spot everytime it came out to eat, which resulted in an anorexic blenny. Only after about a week in the tank, did the tang start leaving it alone and the blenny could start eating properly.
