    I am tired of corals.

    Can I have a tank mixed with tangs, angels and butterflies?

    go ahead man!thats how i started of FOWLR 13 years ago.angels and butterflys are such beautiful fish to watch.make sure when you adding in your angels.you do so all at once or small ones first and then the larger as they fight like tangs.

    Damn, some nice fish there. I don't see a problem with the mix of surgeons, butterflies and angels. The only problem is a lot of these fish have specialised diets so make sure they eating before you buy them.

    a good marine mix usually sorts out these guys diets as it contains a bit of everything in it

    dean do you dive?if so itll be lekker to catch your own specimens for your FOWLR,i found that i appreciate my tank more with the fish i catch rather than the ones i buy.but you obviously gotta buy certain fish thats not found in our waters

    Regal Angel and CBB are my best fish of all time..... I also being toying with the idea of loosing my corals and going FOWLR....

    Everything will work except the meyers. They are specialised feeders, only eating the polyps off sps corals.

    We have a lot of Lunulas and Vagabonds here but I am too scared to put them in because of the kak water we have here. My kids always catch em with no 24 hooks

    got some butterflys and 1 angel in a 2 ft tank.they look awsome.thought i'll start up my FOWLR again

    Yeah good idea mekaeel, toss all those corals and do a lovely FOWLR tank ;)

    Just imagine, never have to worry about calcium, alkalinity and dosing this and dosing that :lol:

    Still trying to get there Mekaeel, Business, IMACSA, MASA, DRC, Tank and family, just dont seem to have time at the moment.
    That reminds me, do you still have that 5ft stand?
