Hi, my dwarf angel nibbles on my tube worm and the Kenia tree. I see the condition of those two are deterirating. I have just moved my tube worm to my DSB. I bought green seaweed flakes for the angel. He is not interested.

I tried to remove the angel from the tank and did some damage to the rest of my tank by trying to catch him.

Currently he is eating the Clown fish food. I put some flakes on a staw to keep it under water. No success. Normally the flakes float and he is not interested. What is my next step? Dynamite?

With some exceptions , most Angel fish will nip at corals. It wont help if you feed him he will still nip corals. I made the mistake with a bi colour , he ate like a pig and then still took to my SPS corals in his spare time.

You will have to try to catch him or have a tank without corals..

    Sorry bud :(
Thats the chance we take with Angels, 50/50. Yours has taken a liking to corals and from what you say, it is destroying your reef. I would catch him out and sell him to someone with FOWLR system.

Yes one of the great tragedies of marine. Angels dont go with reefs. If only. Try catching it when its sleeping, its a bit slower then

I have a coral beauty that doesn't touch corals but some guys say they're terrors in that regard. The best would be to remove the angel and sell/swap it as it will just eat your other corals

Aqua Medic het 'n commercial fish trap. Ek het wel een of twee feedbacks gelees, en patience is die key hier. Ek is nie seker of daar 'n makliker manier is nie.

    [IMG]Fish trap

Trap for catching a particular fish in an aquarium

It is often very difficult to catch an individual fish, especially in aquariums with a lot of rocky decoration such as reef tanks or aquariums for African chichlids without completely destroying the aquascape. Fish trap is baited with some food and as soon as the desired fish has entered the trap the closing mechanism is simply released – by hand. The trap is constructed in such a way that when it is removed from the aquarium with the fish inside it remains half full of water. This method considerably reduces the stress on the fish.

    Dimensions:
    17 x 17 x 21 (L x B x H)
    6.7” x 6.7” x 8.27” (l x w x h)
