Any ideas what these species are ?

    Will they stay small ?

How do they get into our systems ?

It looks like a Jewel Anemone (Corynactis viridis).

See here: Jewel anemone - Corynactis viridis - ARKive

Be sure to look at the 10 different images.

They come in several different colors. Some are very beautiful. They are live rock hitch hikers and they do stay small.

Thanks for the info. First one is definitely a Jewel :)

Other two I am not two sure. Can't get a great pic. These ones in pic 2 &4 are in my main tank with two Crispa's . Would a Crispa be concerned about such a small nemmie ?

The Jewel only extends after lights out, does this indicate, it is non-photosynthetic ?

Anemones should never touch each other unless they are clones. All anemones have the capability to sting. So yes, it can bother the crispa.

Not sure on the other ID. If you can, get another pic.

Not that I have ever seen, I believe the more common and colourful ones come from the Australian coast line (my avatar) and I think they are protected or illegal to export or something like that.

I have a few jewels anemones in my tank and they look like small orange balls when they're closed. I think they're filter feeders.

Warr, last one looks like a Rock anemone. I got a dark one with purple tips that split into two yesterday, and a light grey one. If you do not want it, I will take it.

Ths one with the pink tips, I have a few similar, but a lot finer and very small. They are all in my sump, and only one in the tank at a slow flow area. So definitly they prefer slow flow. Only part that is clearly visible is the pink dots / balls at the end of their fingers. But they are out with or without the lights. Need a better camera:whistling:

    Warr.

Here is mine. Small (very) with pink dots on the tentacles. This rock got about 5. There is a small one between the bottom two, see if you can see it. As you can see, you got the better camera. :(

And my Rock Anemone, It split yesterday, check the mouth is not yet center. They are small, like a R1 coin.

    Warr,

I'm not sure what that one is. It does resemble the aiptasia, but it does not look like a rock anemone to me. Unfortunately, all of my books that I use to identify them are currently in boxes waiting to be unpacked.

Will a Anemone-collecting hermit crab, collect any nemmie (even Aiptasia ?) or do they have a preference ?

It is possible. I don't have any experience with these crabs. Honestly, I don't know of anyone that keeps them.
