Hi, was wondering if fragging a nennie is a good idea(cutting across the oral disc ect.), my malu is is taking up half of my 1.2! Could it possibly just kill it? can you 'encourage' it to split?

Also what is the longest anyone has kept an anemone in captivity?:)

    Thanks

Anemone 'fragging' is possible with certain species, I'm not sure about the malu though, I can't recall reading about anyone ever cutting one of those.

It has been done. Success is not nearly as high as the BTA. Getting the H. malu to split in captivity would be extremely rare.

I have no idea. I know of some in the 15 year range. With the new technology in equipment over the last several years this has improved greately. Your anemone should out live you. ;)
