I have lost 2 sand shifting gobys in the last month. After the first one disappered i replaced it with another and a week later its gone again. Is it possible that the anemone is eating them. I cannot find the dead goby anywhere.

All water parameters are in check.

They are suicidal. Have you checked around your tank.
I had one clear 4 meters easily.

    Either they jumped.
Or they died and washed up against the anemone, and then he will eat the dead fish.

You really can't keep sand sifters (or most gobies for that matter) without a cover. They WILL jump eventually.
