    Hi all
Anemone hasn't been looking to great for the last day or 2
Got back tonight and found a large gash / split in the one side
It looks as though the split is from the mouth to edge

Please advise what you think it could be

Is it dying off , or something else ImageUploadedByTapatalk1360259198.317477.jpg

Nothing has changed in my tank
I have another anemone next to it who it thriving and is perfect

Not a good idea keeping more than one anemone in the same system, especially not that close to each other. Different anemones do not play well together.

Are the two Anemones the same species? and how long have the two anemones been together?

It could be that the anemone is splitting and propagating.

Does the anemone still look healthy or is there any part that looks like decaying?

No where near each other do no possibility of them stinging each other

Looks a little whittled but still stuck to rock, just can't understand the large split in it , it wasn't there yesterday

Bud they can be two to four or more meters apart and will fight if they feel threatened.

The split is most likely the anemone dividing. As long as the anemone is not decaying/disintegrating you could be a grand papa.

Divide a day or so. In the morning you might have two.

    Yes it does deflate.

Please don't poke the tongs at the anemone, it is not a good idea. It will upset it.

Good luck and hope it happens for you.

Okay today we seem to have progress
I think I might have twins , but not getting excited just yet

2 mouths are seen quite clearly, the split just seems to be taking quite some time

Anticipation is killing me especially since if I am wrong , this could go horribly wrong

Let the anemones settle where they prefer for a few weeks. They will decide where they are happy.

    Then make a decision.

Love it when life reproduces naturally. :) well done.
