    Wow haven't seen one of those skimmers in years, I think I still have mine will have to check in the wendy. Brings back memories.....

    It was much easier to DIY these because the concept was quite simple and the wooden airstone did the job for you.Nowadays it's all powered up and more difficult to DIY.:hammer:

    I loved my little up lift skimmer it worked like a beast.:thumbup: If I setup a nano I'd deffinately pull it out again.

    The thought crossed my mind...lol

    Ive heard from some experienced reefers that the airlift skimmers are better then the venture pump type skimmers...

    I still have mine. And never gave me any problems, and work excellent. Sweet old Memory's.

    by far the best... just had to change the limewood airstone often...
    i see Reef Octo has brought out a air driven one

    thats true but i can remember this baby running on @ccwilke 's first upgrade for a while after upgrading to a larger system. they are pretty awesome and i think they still do better than the ones we have nowadays
