So I believe Real Ocean salt is discontinued.

Can you guys recommend an alternative? Basically something that does the job but doesn't cost a fortune.
Real Ocean was working out just fine for my tank, and i am looking for something similar in value (price and quality)

    Thanks

I use tetra marine, it's very good pricing and has a great chemical compound.

@Annoying, what is the pH, Alk, Ca of tetra ? or asked differently, do you have to dose or can you use it as is for reef purposes ? and does it make the litres as stated on the packaging or is it like seachem where the stated litres are at 1.021 sg ?

I don't have to dose any chemicals but the litres are a bit off, I use the 1kg by 23 litres mark (it's supposed to make the water 1.027) but it makes its 1.024-1.025 and that is where I want it.

I've used the Tetra Marine 20kg buckets for a long while now...no issues with it on my very heavily populated SPS system. If you do your 10% weekly water changes, other that alk and Ca requirements and a bit of iodine additive...there nothing else you need to add to your system ito of trace elements.

Seachem is also good, but on average there is as much as R200-R300 price difference depending where u shop, between Seachem and Tetra.

It all depends what you want out of your system, what you trying to keep, and your attention to daily husbandry practices.
