My tank is in its 3-4week of maturing/cycling.
Have been testing water params evry 4 days.

    1st test
    PH-9.0
    Nitrite-0.1
    Nitrate 10mg
    Sg 1.024
    temp 26

    2nd test
    Ph 8.0
    Nitrite 0.1
    nitrate 10mg
    SG 1.023
    temp 27
    kh 6

    3rd test
    Ph 8.4
    nitrite 0.1
    nitrate 10mg
    sg 1.024
    temp 26
    kh 2

do i let the tank just runs its cycle and leave it?
or how do i drop the nitrate and up the kh?

i have lotsa LR in my DT,with aragonite aswell.
i have a dsb and skimmer running 24/7,with cheato in my sump.
busy building a Algae scrubber now aswell.

no lights being used wile cycling the tank?

    any advise?

The KH value i`d increase as 2 will result in pH swings causing potentially more life on the rock to die off which will result in the cycle being extended. Dont worry about the nitrate yet, wait till nitrites at zero then do a water change.

I would not worry about testing for mg until u have a fully stocked system.

there are lots of products in your LFS that raises alk.

Natural seawater has an alk of around 7.

I'm not a fan with Sera test kits, get a second opinion with a Tropic Marin or Elos test kit

i was thinkin of buyin it coz i will eventually need it,but when i heard the price i thought that can wait abit.

as for the Kh,i will get another test kit rather just to make sure of the results

i found my sera test kits results very very consistant with my lfs brand new tropic marin and elos kits and my sera kits are over four years old!

so dont worry your kits are fine IMHO but i dont have the sera kh so maybe get your kh checked with an elos or tropic marin kit to be sure....as for the ammonia test dont worry about it you can cycle without it just monitor your nitrite and nitrate and dont add anything before four weeks.

one other kit that ,may prove very useful beside mg is the calcuim kit,and the sera one works perfect for me.

i have a calcium test kit form Sera,so u sayin the sera test kits are very accurate, greatstuff!

i figured i dont need the ammonia test kits, just need to monitor the nitrite to be zero and nitrates to be under 5

I just did more test now:
    Ca 240
Ph 8.3(seems to be stablising now)
Nitrate 10mg(doesnt want to budge even after adding cheato)
    P04 0.25
    temp 26.7
    sg 1.023
    dkh 5
    nitrite 0.1

since the last test i added 2 hermit crabs.
nitrates dont want to drop further,
Ca and dkh needs to be pushed up,how do i do this?what do i need?

    any suggestions?

PATIENCE, Maj...... Chaeto starts to work after about a week to 10 days. BUT, you should also have very strong lighting over chaetomorpha.....
