dKH is the same as Kh only if it states meq/l will you need to convert.

As for your reading, pick a number and stick to it. I try krrp ALK @ 8dKh.

I does red sea B for alk.

    Good Morning Duanead,
If I'm reading your parameters right, your KH is coming down. Last week 8, and this week 7. Are you dosing Calcium and/or Kalkwasser? This will also help to keep your KH level more stable. If you have a SPS dominated tank your KH can be on the higher end of the scale ie. (9 to 11). What was the PH when you tested your KH?
It would help to give us all the tanks parameters and we could compare.... (Temp, PH, KH, Calcium and Magnesium) and the actual time you did the test....

    Hi

You can not look at alkalinity in isolation, got to pick it in relation to your calcium and magnesium balance.

Here is a good read and a tool

I agree with Len, If your ALK is low then your cal and mag will also be out of check! tell us what all the Parameters are. Remember that levels can be different between morning and evening so make sure that you always test at the same times.

Not always, in my previous tank, my cal and mag was always in range but my alk kept dropping.
