was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to get rid of this? I have had my lights of in hope that it may cause the algae to die off, but so far it hasn't worked!

    what livestock do you have?
    Your bioload?
    current clean up crew?
and do you have any animals that would actually eat the algae?

    you have enough grazers.

the rest of your filtration system, what do you have. Some pictures of the sump would help. What is your primary biological filtration method other than liverock.

    what substrate do you have?

It looks cyano to me, nothing will eat that. Decrease feeding, increase you flow in the tank. Siphon out and use turkey baster everyday. You could also increase skimmer production, make the skimate wetter.

    All advice above and:

Tank is still basically brand new, get in a routine regarding maintenance such as regular water changes and stick to it. Just ride it out and dont give up. Dont add any more livestock for now until your biofiltration is more mature. It will eventually clear up.
