I bought a frag form my lfs a while ago. The coral seem to be doing great, but on a damaged part of the coral, algae started growing. Can anyone suggest a remedy to get rid of the algae? I am a novice, without any fragging experience or tools.
Algae will quickly grow on dead coral skeletons. You can use a turkey baster and try blow the algae off, this works most of the time. Or just take a side cutter or coral cutter and clip the dead end off. Its very easy. And being a pink birdsnest the skeleton in not very thick so it will come off easily.
