Here it is. Like i said its the Dan's reef LPS V7 settings. Heard good things about it although ill only be able to test it once i actually have corals. Tank still cycling. I added the lunar cycle from 19:20 till 21:20 at night and weather from 17:00 till 18:30 with probability at 30% and intensity at 50% Screenshot_20180209-072025.jpg

What is the purpose of the "shark teeth"? Is it to simulate cloud cover? Is that not a bit silly, as the unit has a weather function with cloud cover built into the software?

I believe it is called respiration spikes, basically allowing small periods of rest and then power then rest then power to aid in coral growth. This is how I understand it

Still seems very "gimmicky". In nature this will happen with natural cloud cover, the unit can do this in the software. Would also like to see the long term affect this will have on the unit (ramping up and down the whole time - surely cant be good for them)

Go check out David Saxby's reef. He's been using this type of ramp for a while (few years I think) and his reef is incredible.
The units have been designed for this use so it should be alright.

Yeah his tank is awesome. I am running 2 Hydra 26 HD's on my nano - and growth and color is insane - normal 3.5hr ramp up to about 14k for 4 hours and another 3.5hr ramp down to lights out.

AI makes awesome lights. Keep us posted on the results with this method.
