    Hi to all,
This 'marine thing/addiction' bit me! I bought a 1,5m x 500 x 500 2nd hand tank, quite a bit bigger than my old 1,2m x 400 x 400 tank. I went to look at it on Sunday afternoon, decided to buy it and went to collect it on Monday morning 8:00. Started cleaning the tank, varnished the cabinet and by 14:00 we started to empty my existing tank. My wife started putting in the live rock, corals & fish back at 22:00 whilst I still had to make 3 trips to the beach to get another 225lt of water - we don't even have to mention the nerves and tension!! We thought we would lose Dory, as she got caught she got tangled in the net - happy to announce that so far all is doing well and I hope will continue to do well. Within 18 hours this was done. I've lost a couple of RRRRRRRRRRRR!!! But will carry on regardlessly, as you all know.
Herewith a few pics of the old tank and then the new tank & move: (Still need lots of corals - think I have enough fish - 20)

Nice Johann, just take it slow before adding new stock. First check if all is well with the existing ones in a couple of weeks from now

Thanks Sean, so sad to hear that you are selling your tank!!!! It's absolutely stunning. I will not be adding live stock, however, I must say I would love a Powder Blue Tang - do you think I could and just some more corals? I have put in the water that was in the old tank together with 225lt NSW and added almost 125ml Waterlife BacterLife to get the cycle going again.

Let the tank settle and allow the bio filter to catch up before adding more corals and fish. Test your ammonia for potential problems

Nice tank Johann. I'm sure it was a huge mission. I would also wait a couple of weeks before adding anything.

That is so true! I'm on my third one in a year. Started of with a 50lt Jebo tank, then gave that to my wife in January when I upgraded to a 250lt tank (which my wife also claimed) and then my current tank. So yes, I don't know how long I will be happy with this one.

So far, after the big move from the old tank to the latest one, I have only lost 1 cleaner shrimp and 1 scarlet shrimp and it's been 11 days.

Looking very good so far, very nice tank you got there.
This hobby is all about patience my friend and your system has had a big disruption so wait a couple of weeks and let it settle first.

Thanks Alan - Happy to report that the 2 shrimps I thought I'd lost must have just been hiding for a few days - saw them tonight after feeding some bloodworm. (They thought it was Xmas since I don't feed them often with bloodworm!) Also happy to report that the sun polyps are looking stunning now. This is what my tank looks like
    after 12 days

Thanks Sean! Yes, I have had the sun coral now for almost two months and it only started opening in the evenings over the past two weeks and was most beautiful last night - fully extended.

Very cool dude...also wanna get a 5 foot tank! Not that much bigger than a 4 foot...but makes the world of the difference! Keep us posted on how it "matures" over the next few years! I take it you kept the same sump for the new DT?
