Hi guys i run a 350 ltr jebo tank including sump and have algae on my back of glass and i believe this is caused by Phosphates although i had my water tested and no3 was zero n04 zero .ph 8.3 .salinity 1025 and have calurpa my sump. I run a real protein swimmer which is rated 400lts. In the tank there are
    2 ocelaris clown
    2 cardinals
    1fire goby
    1 blue cheek goby
    1 yellow tang
    1 stare fish
    2 torch coral
    1 hammer
    1 frog spawn
    1 bubble anenome
1 bubble coral (not healthy so at the lfs to help him)
    2 xenia
    Ears
    Zoos

    CUC
    2 Cleaner shrimp
    6 hermit

Do i get a Phosphates reactor to lower Phosphates, i feed every 2nd day and it brine shrimp and marine mix every other day as well as reef snow once a week and terra bit. I bought ocean formula 2 pellets yesterday so will introduce that as well.is my shimmer upto scratch and last test showed calcium good ammonia and magnesium good. The tank has been running 7 months now and take longer to cycle. TIA

Hey wookie, I don't understand why you want to get a phos reactor when your water parameters are as you stated above. I wouldn't worry about the algea on the back glass, it's a matter of taste (I leave mine on back glass)
I think what you need now is patience.

the fact about alga is that they can grow anywhere, good or bad water, FW or salt... thay have had billions of years to adapt....

you can scrap the glass, get turbo snails, algae is a fact of fishtank life

Thanks guys was just habit worried as was told that excess algae would give false reading when testing no3 and Phosphates.
