When i started in May the LPS told me that I should add CombiSan on a weekly basis.
What is the general opinion about this product or should I rather use something else?

It is a bio-activator that conatains trace elements according to the bottle.

Except for that last CA overdose, no problem. The question is if I use Tropic Marin Pro reef salt do I still need to add extra trace elements?

trace elements will needed to added only if it is low.eg if calcium is low,then you will need to dose

Depending on how heavily stocked your tank is and how much water you change, i use trace element additives daily. Skimmers also remove a fair amount of trace elements. IMO if there are no negative effects carry on using it.
