I just want to know when will be the best time to add my yellow tang to the new system. Currently he's in a quarantine tank. This is what i'm adding to the tank slowly in no particular order: 2 clowns, midas blenny, sixline wrasse, royal gramma (in tank already) and 4 blue green chromis (in tank already). I just want to know if I should wait till last to add the yellow tang or can I just slot him in anywhere? I've decided to add fish every two weeks to give the system time to catch up and i'm in no hurry as the rest are in my nano and quarantine tank.

Add him anytime. Only time it maybe a problem is when adding more similar shaped tangs or more YT's

Thaks Warr. I'll ad him next. I'm not going to have any more similar shaped tangs or YT's. I might just want to add a Powder Brown in a couple of months time, that should be ok?

Jaak try space your additions to a monthly basis to give the system a little more time to cope, as for the yellow if there are no other of simular body shapeall should be fine.having said that just remember im always cautious about fish additions.. perhaps overly cautious:whistling:

Jaak, the general rule with tangs is to be careful when adding similar species - two zebrasoma or two acanthurus could prove difficult due to the shape of the fish and their aggressive nature toward similar species, but i did have a yellow tang and a sailfin (both zebrasoma) without problem, with them were a regal and a pweder blue, all lived together ok - they were, however, in a large tank, be careful with tangs in anything less than a 6x2x2, they can get territorial (they are also hectic swimmers)
