@Dirkie, what lighting do you have over the tank?
    What size is the tank?
What salt mix did you use for your water?
Have you tested Calcium, magnesium, alkalinity & salinity?

These are some of the most important things required to keep corals. Without correct lighting, good water quality & stable perameters, i wouldnt recommend adding corals till you are sure they are all ok.
If they are all OK, they you should be able to keep corals happy.

Hi Dirkie, can you post a pic of your tank and the purple plant you talking about. Difficult to discuss without a pic.

Looks like there is 2 different corals on there. Can not really see what it is. What lights do you have. Move it up closer to the top and see my bay they open more. Then take another pic. Not looking like zanias and 2 ones cant make out what it is. Keep it.

the one in the black circle looks like maybe purple star polyp, or xenia, then the ones in the red circle not too sure, but you will see the stem looks like that of a mushroom in the the second red circle.

Black circle looks like small xenia and red circles look like jewel anemone, healthy looking too. Be care full when going to purchase corals. The owner might sell you plants instead.LOL!! Just kidding! Make sure you no the difference before you go shopping;)

unfortunately theirs only one of the purple ones left on this "rock" , I've got another rock full of them that are fully open and they were introduced into the tank at the same time. Can they move around by themselves ? will post pics of the other rock.. But the pink ones in the red circles are happy and going strong.

    Dual T5
    +-90L plus 90L sump. basically a 3 foot tank.
    Red sea coral pro mix.
    calcium is at 460p.p.m
    salinity is right.
mg should be right because used coral pro salt. don't have a test kit.
Alkalinity should also be right because used coral pro salt.
