    Hi all,

Just bought my own flat, and on impulse, bought the current owner's marine tank too (currently empty).

It is a 1.2m tank with accessories (will list later).

I'm sure most of the seasoned pros will roll their eyes at this newbie, but I grew up with a number of freshwater tanks, and have always dreamt of having a marine tank, so I jumped at the chance to finally give it a go...

Well, I hope to get some tips in the coming months. I will be moving in on 1st Dec, and will start setting up the tank as soon as possible after that.

    Tips and advice welcome. :)

welcome to masa its great to have you join:)

setting up a marine system is easy and we can do lots to help you. There are some great advances in technology over the last few years so why not give us a list of the equipment the tank comes with and lets see if we can suggest any upgrades now rather than later.

also take the time now to read up threads here and ask as many questions as you like, research done before you pout water in is worth the effort ten times over in this game

    welcomen and good luck

Hi all, The exact measurements of the tank (without lid or stand) is: 1200(W) x 750(H) x 450(D) I know it is clichéd, but I’m think a “Finding Nemo”-type tank… (please don’t throw anything at me) A clown or three, a regal tang (can I have multiple?), yellow tang, moorish idol, royal gramma, a cleaner shrimp or two, and a blue whale. Any suggestions or advice? Is a collection of these types even possible, or have the movies and popular media lied to me again? Thanks!
