Our Poor candycane shrimp "Candy", suffered a tragic aquascaping accident and unfortunately lost his left arm. Please pray for his safe recovery. We're renaming him "Lefty"... So far, he seems to be hanging in there...

Shame man....hope he will be okay..:(..Did you do Aquascaping(placed it on him) or did one of the rocks just tumble over...? I seriously need to do some Aquascaping myself and actually move the Tank to a steel frame stand we had made, but I'm afraid the same thing could happen to me..my Tank is so small that I'm bound to have an accident....think when I do a big water change I might put them in the container...do my thing and put them back...

ooops that sounds like quite a rock fall. careful if rocks fall that fast that a shrimp (especially one like a boxing) cant get out the way you run the risk of a cracked tank if it connects with glass, Id epoxy those stones together.

lefty (kreh) should make a full recovery after the next molt, lets pray so anyway

Don't Sweat it. It will grow back and its next exoscelleton shedding. I have one and have accidently broken of its arm a couple of times. The also sometimes "eject" them to get away from predators!

Make sure the parameters are right in your water and he will sched routinely ! It is quite a fright the first time when you see this "Dead" Shrimp only to realise it is a husk.

He's still doing ok. Actually, I think he and the tang got into it and it was off prior. I saw it the day before, but thought it might have been part of the molt I'd not gotten out.
