I'm looking for 54watt ballasts for T5 either 3 double or 6 single. Or any other way to connect the tube via a special adaptor.

I used Philips or Osram balasts. Can get 54W dual for about R170. (Jade Lee Electical - Midrand)
Philips is easier to connect. Wire goes into a slot that automatically grabs it. Must press thin screwdriver into another spot to release it.
Osram you have to push the wire in between two upright metal pieces. And outlet only got 7 contact points. So the "neutral" on both globes must go into there. A bitch to get two wires securely into that slot.
    Philips unit is also shorter.

Quality of these balasts compared to imported German or Finland made units. Do not know. Also compared to the ones Waterboy got, do not know. Your choise, just giving you more options.

Yes you do, but 2 * single more expensive that 1 double.

    But ask them.

The problem I have is in town nobody sells t5 Ballasts must go to Nelspruit to get if they have.

So if I have single units and one die I only have one light out untill I get another one.

And with our Eskom Power it is a problem.
