    Hi,

What is the corect way to connect the wires in the balast in the picture below? I know which wires goes where, but how do you connect them/make them stay in the right place. Any help will be appreciated.

    each tube got 4 pins.
    2 tubes, so 8 pins.

Connections 1 to 4 should be the connections closer to the unit, 5 to 8 the second row.

The ballast is mounted closer to one end of the unit, and those wires are shorter than the other side.

Your ballast got that marked for you, wires 1 2 5 and 6. Wire 1 and 2 to tube A. wires 5 and 6 to tube B

wire 4 to Tube A being a longer wire. Wire 8 to tube B.

Wire 7 split up, to the last open pin on long side on both tubes A and B.

wire 3 is not in use.

    Hi RiaanP,

Thought I had the wiring figured, but see I got that wrong too (connected wires 1 through 8 two to a tube, it worked but did not test long-term).

My problem was more on how to make the wire stay securely in the holes (don't understand those connectors).

I am going to accept that I am not technical enough and took 459b up on his offer to help via PM.

    Thanks Riaanv
