I highly doubt it, unfortunately he was savaged by a few over-eager members on his thread and he told me he would never post on the forum again, personally I don't blame him. Good to hear the fish are all doing well though.:)

Hi viper, it's a pity because i think some of us could have learnt a great deal from what he will be experiencing going forward (especially me) :(

Hey squire. The tangs ALL 7 of them are doing fantastically well. Eating like pigs and without any hassles. Hey " who knows. Perhaps I have 4 of the most docile purples in existence. ???????????????? Long may it last :thumbup:

Yeah , viper , spot on ! Won't be asking questions or sharing my setup in lieu of getting slammed :1:;)

    Long live the TANG :)

Dropzone Newbee - I am xtatic that you are still on "board"! Many thanks for NOT leaving us foreva!

Man - we on MASA try and give advice. Some people are just a LOT more "passionate" than others - up to the point where emotions rule their posts......

So - that said - I can only say "good luck"! If you manage to get all 7 tangs to live well in your tank, kudo's to you!

Just keep us updated, please. As NO-ONE knows enough about the sea and marine live, to really be an "expert"!

    Cheers!

hi dropzone ... glad to hear from you, a kind request tho ... please keep me posted as to how it's going with the 4 "musketeers".

also, by 7 tangs i assume you mean 4 purples and 3 yellows?

DZ... that's awesome. I would LOVE to see picts of these beauties and would love to hear your approach (how did you introduce them, what size, etc...) because I have a new, larger tank and am anxious to learn... as JB says, nobody (here or anywhere else) knows enough about the sea and marine life to really be an "expert"!

yup, i couldn't agree more with you LA. i am also planning a larger tank than the one i currently got and accommodating multiple tangs especially purple ones successfully is an extremely interesting proposition ....

and yeah ... more pics please!!!!

Is a purple tang specifically a problem? My father has a lot of tangs in his 1200l set-up and they all live in harmony!

he has 2 x yellow tangs
    1 x scopas
    1 x bristletooth
    1 x naso
    1 x sailfin

all that and a copperband and there's never been a hassle.

Iv been pondering adding a sailfin to my 250l RSM but im worried my scopas will hammer him, some advice iv been given is lights off and add the new guy and dont lights on again till the following day, still worried though.

I also have 7 tangs in my 2 meter tank. Here's the list:
    - unicorn tang
    - sailfin tang
    - scopas tang
    - lavender bristletooth tang
    - blond naso tang
    - regal tang
    - clown tang/surgeon

And mine are really extremely healthy and fat..... And yes - they "interact" with each other, every now and again (showing each other who's the boss). But no white spot, no fin tearing, no scalpel cuts, no hiding away - nothing.
