What volume of water? Lighting would be very NB, good flow, good calcium levels, NO3 and PO4 must be kept at zero or close to that. Great skimming. You might need a PO4 reactor. The list is endless, I have seen some great nano sps tanks that have cost fortunes, it all the depends on your budget, the sky is the limit. Others, with more experience, will also add more info, but in the mean time, do a search in MASA (top of the page) for things like "nano sps tank," or "no fish nano," above all read!
    HAVE FUN.

will be really easy as your nutrients will be really low due to zero fish, all you neeed to ensure is proper CA,ALK and MG and you away. a little coral food now and again and you will have a great system. obviously u need the basics as in flow and light as well

lol i never done it wife wanted fish, the next tank i am setting up will be focused towards sps with a few specific fish that i want.
You do not need a skimmer in a reef tank but you would need an alternate method to remove nutrients.
you will have to set it up and see how it works for you
