So I've decided to start my own tank thread for the new tank.

Most of the equipment including the Tank comes from @Aquaria-SA, thanks for all the help and patience Lawrence:yeahdude:.

Ok so on to the equipment list:

    Tank - 1300mm x 700mm x 600mm (LxWxH) (546L)
    Sump - 900mm x 55mm x 40mm (LxWxH) (140L calculated according to baffles)
    Aquaria AQ-LMB-1200 Lighting hood ( 2 x 250w Metal Halide + 4 x 54w T5)
    Aquaria APS-03-S2900-CI Skimmer (Rated 1200L)
    Hailea HC-300A chiller (Thanks @CW)
    2 x Sicce voyager V4 stream pumps 6000lph (Thanks @Manic)
    2 x SEIO M1500 pumps 6000lph (Thanks @RyanvdM)
    JNS Alpha 2 Biopellet reactor
2 x AquaHouse dosing pump (Will be used for dosing a part Cal + Alk)
    SAGA auto top off

Ok so that pretty much covers it, now just waiting for all the equipment to be delivered and then to start the setup, can't wait.

Ok so time to update this thread, I have received most of the new equipment, just haven't gotten round to setting up everything yet, been hectic busy with varsity and fishing trip to the Zambezi.

Here are pics of some of the equipment received from @Aquaria-SA, thanks guys.

The lights, nicely packed into sturdy shipping box

The lights after being removed from sturdy box, can't wait to get these babies working.

The new skimmer, she should do nicely.

And finally the new sump, this time it's nice and simple.

    High time for an update.

Tank is finally wet, cycle seems to have run to completion, now just to get the nitrate levels down.

So this is what the tank looks like currently, or what it looked like a few days ago, now it's all cloudy as I was cleaning the substrate.

And this is what the sump is looking like.

Can't believe the tank is finally running, took me forever to set it up :whistling:

    Howdy

Tank is doing good, got some more live rock and did some rescaping not 100% done yet need to still make some changes to the right hand side.

Yep live stock in the tank, moved the ex nano tanks occupants to the new tank, and added a few more.

    currently I have

    2 clowns
    royal gramma
    yellow tang
    sand sifting star
couple of nassarius snails, think about 6
    4 turbo snails
    cleaner shrimp
    boxer shrimp
    fire shrimp
    3x hermit crabs

I replaced 2 of the flow pumps for 2 Tunze 6105 with the 7096 controller, best thing I've added to the tank this year.

My next move for the tank is changing my current brand of salt to Seachem salinity, after some research it looks like one of the best salt mixes for stable parameters with the least amount of dosing.

Once I've swopped over the salt, and have the parameters stable, it's time for some corals, I'm thinking the first one might be a nice crocea clam, but we'll see.

This is what the tank looks like currently.
