    Hey guys,

I'm looking for a decent sump return pump between 3500 and 4500 ltrs/hour. Low energy compsumption preferred.
Anyone have one spare they wanna flog? Preferably in Jo'burg area.
    Thanks.

Why don't you have a look at the Sicce pumps? I know Lanzo said that they were getting soon!

Thanks Slagter, I've used Sicce before and they're good. Where is Lanzo based?

@Slagter: Ok, cool - I went there recently... what an awesome shop and helpful staff. I'll pop in again soon anyway.
@Frankse: thanks, but I reckon running both will take up too much space and probably use quite a bit more electricity than 1 efficient pump. Thanks anyway.

You can also try Sunsun pumps, 3500l/h and use 50 watts. Very quiet. I paid +- R300

Thanks SIMS - I don't think it will be strong enough given the 'head loss'... That's why I was thinking a 3500lph minimum. I'm also wary of the electricity-hungry Haliea pumps, even though they're tough and dependable. Thanks anyway:thumbup:

@butcherman, durleo, SIMS: thanks guys for all your comments - those are all great pumps, just a wee bit out of my price range at the moment! Easter eggs are pretty expensive nowadays...

Exactly:tt2:. Nah, I know you get what you pay for, and my plans are for an energy efficient system (slowly progressing tank build only gonna be finalised when I buy a house later this year). I wanna do a FW trial run with the tank and filters as they are, so I thought I'd see if anyone had a decent pump going at a 'decent' price:p. I've just spent quite a lot on my LED build project, so trying to avoid spending a couple grand on a return pump, for now at least. Les Hempel has been in touch about some stuff he has, so I may come right there.

    Thanks;)

Yeah, you're right of course, unless I make a lucky find, like you say. You know, when I was in the UK I picked up Eheim, Deltec and AMedic stuff for SO MUCH cheaper on Ebay, as it's all from Europe (and Ebay is MASSIVE there, and shipping is relatively cheap and safe:biggrin:). Oh well, I guess here in SA we wait for the future, a good local manufacturer of Marine products, or a great quality chinese product at low prices:rofl:
