33 deg and it's nearly 4 pm in JHB

    WOW it's hot today

    get home and check your tanks temp!!!

    mine is at 28.6 at the moment

    Mine 25.5, yip, I know, added two 22 watt boyu fans on my sump, where I have two pumps that move the water alot and no problems so far. I am very lucky and thanking Karma! Two weeks back I hit 29!

    i would hate to see what my garage holding tanks are at, but i have my chiller and 2 90cm fans blowing on the water :)

    tank was running at 26.8 today with an evaporation of about 20l for one day and both fans was running crazy crazy:eek:

    Oh, btw, I was heading up the n3 towards midrand, at 7pm the display on the zest building was reading 32 degrees.

    Well its 7am in bloem and way over 30 here already, my Nano was at 28.5 when i woke up i am on my 3rd frozen 2lt to cool it down, the big system is also warm at 27.8 so have 2 frozen 2 lts in as well to help the chiller, this heat wave is a killer

    Yes, yes it is. I think it's important not to have large temperature swings in your tank. Life stock can handle higher temperatures for a few days, yes O2 becomes less and NH3 is more toxic (but you should've have NH3), so stay calm and we will all get through it.
