Upgraded from my Rsm250 to this 650. The tank was Jungles demo tank before.Been online just over a month now.
Did this short vid for someone wanting to have look & thought i may as well make a thread & share here also.
Still kinda work in progress patiently trying to get some sps to give some colour.

    Thanks RD

Had a couple of pieces of different monti that i couldn't quite figure out where exactly to put them that wasn't going to make issues later & have ended up doing this with them.
Not sure if this will work or whether i should have my tank repossessed but lets see what happens......
Bottom piece is about 6 inches wide

Will do - I also haven't come across anything other than good reports either & the coral coming out of their farm looks stunning so we'll give it a shot.

One of my new fish additions was a dwarf lion - Mombassa i think he is.
Managed to get him over to eating frozen hake after 2 weeks....won't be a problem getting him out if i ever have to - here's he having lunch

Did you purchase the supplements locally or did you import?

No one here has it that i know of - had to import it.
US stocks seem to have sold out pretty fast & they're sitting of backorder of quite a few products so i got it out of Germany - Took them 3-4 days to get stock of what i ordered.
    Used here Mrutzek Meeresaquaristik GmbH
But to ship to here they needed to use DHL so i'm not sure whether there's somewhere cheaper to use that can ship it a differant way.
I also grabbed Component ABC to dose via doser & that there is 3 x 2kg bottles so my weight was heavy - must have been close to 7kg shipment.
Came DHL Premium(Packet) not DHL Express - took 1 week from when it was shipped to be able to grab it from the PO.

Maybe iv'e just found my problem with my sps stubbornness to colour up.
This tank with 10x 80W T5's over it was giving me only 400 par on the surface, Switched out tubes to make sure that wasn't the problem - same value.
After seeing several par readings a lot higher from ati fixtures i dug to see if maybe the redsea ballasts were maybe not great - turned out their the same HEP ballasts that the ati uses so not that but in my research i noticed those ballasts once they get to 60C start dialling back output.
Tested the heatsink on top of the light unit 55C but that's outside so i figured inside where the ballasts are could well be 60+.
After seeing some par improvement with running a floor fan over the top of the heatsinks i then grabbed 4 x 120mm fans & have those blowing across.
Today i tested things as properly as i can.
Had the fans running from this am.
Using my seneye here for par readings i fixed it into a position that wouldn't move & i was getting a reading of 450-470 par
    Turn the fans off -
    30 mins later par = 397-410
    1 hour later = 375-390

Even if that seneye ain't reading 100% like an apogee thats a bunch of par differance
    room temp was 25c
@red deacon & @tekkengal your maybe both interested to know about that

Wow John, your tank is looking stunning!
And thanks for the info, I haven't tested the par readings (need to keep the coral long enough...) but is good info for when I want to start fully stocking the tank again.

Hi V - thanks for the compliment its plodding along...don't think the gorg is going to make it too much longer unfortunately.

Hi Rock no he don't go near them at all

Would anybody know if electronic ballasts get tired if run at high temps over time or are they just a work or no work type of unit?
i.e would they be worth replacing & maybe get some better output returned or that would likely just be a waste of time?
I have a feeling i'm going to be ditching this lighthood
