    Hi Guys

    This is my reef setup. Its been running for close to 2yrs now.
    Been a long processes and feel I am still far from finish regarding the hardware setup and this also taking time to spread the costs:)

    tank size is 2x600x600
    sump is 1.8x600x600
    light setup is 4 white aqua medics and 4 blue aqua medic bulb.
    casings were made myself with perspex and sized to suit tank.

    running a atman uplifting pump 8500l/h
    reef octopus skimmer attached to a octopus reef pump 3000l/h

    Boyu External Phospherus / Nitrate remover with UV sterilizer

    and a Hailea HC 300A chiller which is mostly for the hot summer days.

    Interesting, pic if the boyu nitrate / phosphorus remover, bit of info, is it effective, what media, how often do you change the media?

    not sure what you mean by media, i only understand laymans terms...LOL
    cant really give relavant or substantial feedback on how effective it is. But i never had any algae or water issues when it was connected or while it was / is disconnected or switched off.
    At the moment both are disconnected. The chiller below will get connected as soon as the days start getting hot again here in cpt. The UV sterilizer needs a bulbs so its not connected at the moment.

    Ok got ya, thought it (the uv sterilizer) had additional nitrate and phosphate remover compartments, but now I understand, the skimmer is used to remove no3 and po4. Media would have been rowaphos that is run in a reactor to decrease phos.
