28w T5's

    Hi, Has anyone heard of 1.2m 28w t5'S?

    Are they any good,

    1.2m T5s should be 54W. But there are the odd manufacturer that has weird wattages for their tubes, although this is not very common. Dymax is one that I can think of where some of their tubes have different wattages compared to the length of other tubes.

    Can't be any good, as you are getting far less output. That sounds like a T8?
    From 54 to 28 is a huge drop...

    You do get 1.2m 28w T5's. They used for soft lighting around the house. Output will be a bit low for marine and youll struggle to find bulbs suitalbe for a tank.
    Did a LFS try and sell you the 1.2m 28w fitting/ballast?

    @dallasg is selling some ballast and end caps i know @zayd is buying some. maybe combine shipping and get the propper stuff u need for a great price.. i was considering buying it but i'm out of action for a couple of weeks.. goodluck

    You get High output T5's and normal output T5's. We usually just use the high output tubes on our reef tanks.
