    I went down to kidds beach on saturday and found myself a tiny lion fish. was hoping for an anthias lol. its with my 2 clowns in my little nano tank

    Eish... Clowns will become dinner soon. Lions can eat anything even up to two thirds of their body size. And they hunt at night. What is the size of the clowns?

    I caught a small anthias today:thumbup: took me about an hour to get the little bugger
    I also caught a small goat fish:biggrin:

    my clowns will be safe. My clowns are bigger than the lion. It is Seriously the smallest lion I've ever seen . @weezle where did you find that anthias man. I'm dying to get one. Don't think I've seen a goat fish before lol

    i'm going down to knoetzie beach inbetween plet and knysna do you know if i'll be able to bring anything back from that side? and also get a licence from the post office as normal?

    water a bit too cold to keep the inhabitants at constant 25 degree all year. But some guys do keep glass shrimps and some of the hermits for a while. How long they live compared to the sea I am not really sure.

    Perfect thanks @RiaanP think i'll rather do some collecting when i'm in kzn and can keep everything alive?

    can i collect any corals or zoas from that side or will temp also become an issue in the long run? any ideas on websites where i can get more info on the location and marine life around our coast?

    Won't find any corals but guys have been getting some decent fish the last couple years at natures valley and surounds which is a bit more south.

    Found him in a rock pool at nahoon, I will try and get a pic of them tomorrow damn load shedding just happened:eek:

    There are literally thousands in KZN pretty much all year round. They get big though and they're epic jumpers. Also really good eating...

    Got two Thalassoma hardwicke, one today another last weekend:

    They seem to be quite sociable, so gonna put them together and see what happens.

    Well the other Thalassoma were kicking it's arse, so think it's more in the amblycephalum range. Not a wuss, but not evil.

    Got a cleaner wrasse 3 convict seargon and 4 tiny wrasses the cleaner is also very small
