so i know there are a couple of threads on hear that suggest sump designs and stuff but to a specific need. what i am planning for my upgrade is i have a standard 2 foot daro tank that will act like a sump. this is all gr8 and stuff but the skimmer i have is a bit large. it is a reeftek TS2 skimmer and so i need to design it around the skimmer and still have space for a compartment consisting of LR and a return... can anybody give me some suggestions as my mind has come up with a lot of possible solution but will not really work for me.

nope. i have an idea for ATO though. that involves a 5ltr water bottle that is hung upside down just touching the water surface. so when it drops it just goes glug and it tops it up from there:)

@dallasg i have had second thoughts. i will put in 1 chamber for the overflow. just to keep water level in 1st compartment the same so that i don't mess around with the skimmer... what is your intake in this?

what i am trying to say is that no compartment will mess around and i will have to do more topups more often. where if i have atleast 1 compartment just for overflow the skimmer level will remain the saim and only the 2nd compartment water level will drom. and ATU will come in handy at this stage??.. so instead of doing a 500ml topup i will do maybe a 150 ml topup? i donk know? what would you say?
