out of those 2 choices the 16k will give better growth, i would have the outers 16k and the middle one 20k for colouring

i havhad a simular positioning using 13K AM s on the outer and 20K AM center and it worked perfectly.. 2 x 16K's would be perfect in that position..

the 16K's on their own are awsome bulbs.

20k will colour your corals, the 16k will provide enuff for growth and colouration

Ok I see, so 20 k better colour cause of the blueness?..... So if I go all 16k an make most my t5s actinics I will still get colour an growth?

At the moment my curent bulbs are 10k outer 2 and 14k centre...... I personally think its too yellow, my T5s are 4 x54watt all actinics at the moment coz of the yellowness of MHs

Although a very good brand, BLV globes in general are not as blue as Reeftek and Aquamedic for eg. A 16K Aquamedic globe will be more blue than a 16K BLV globe. I had a 20K BLV and it was not as blue as I would've liked. But ja, you can use the 16K and just compensate with coral blue T5's and/or actinics.

Give me a shout sometime. I have 2 brand new 20k BLV 150mhs bulbs. They not as blue as you think. I would say they are crisp white!!
