145l Frag Tank

Good morning all. Bit of an update. Decided to keep the tank and get it in shape. The past weekend I got an amazing hammer from a local Vaal reefer. I'm planning on visiting a store this weekend to get a wave maker, a fish, maybe a shrimp and snails, some salt, and another hammer. Then I have 2 lovely hammers. After that I plan on adding my filter sock which I still haven't found one, and Before September an auto top up, and if my funds allow it I'll get a new heater that'll be connected to an STC.

Tank is running smoothly, just the dam algae I can't get rid of, but when I do a waterchange, and get a few more snails and maybe a fish it'll look a lot better. I'll try post some updated pictures of the tank today.

I know you're young but it seems like you go from one brain fart to the next. Make up your mind and before you start spending money on fish and corals, get a good quality auto top up first. That really is the foundation of a reef tank. Still takes a lot more effort to make it a successful reef tank.

Hi all. So yesterday I bought a lot of nice stuff.

Hammer
Mushroom
Cleaner shrimp
4x Mexican turbo snails
Coral beauty angel

I see a dent in the algea already. All that's left to do now is get a filter sock, an ato and a new heater and stc, I'll maybe get a cabinet, then I'm pretty much set.

Update time

Tank looks GR8, Can't believe the tank is where it is today. Wanted to sell it a few times and give up cause the algea made me really LAM

Now today I have a few frags, a couple up for sale, and now I'm getting my ato installed, a new heater and maybe a stc and might get myself a filter roller.

Will post some pictures of the tank later.

When I get my parameters correct and in check I'll and they are very stable I'II get myself a torch or two, that's a dream coral for me. And I would love to get a blue OR90 bar for more blue, just don't know where to hang it, as my kessils have arms.

So yesterday was exiting, got a scrambled egg zoa frag, a small piece of gsp that I'll try and grow on the back, and another mushroom and zoa frag. Will post the pictures I took yesterday in a bit.

At the moment I have a mix of softies, lps and sps

Mushrooms, zoas,gsp and a cabbage for softies

Hammers for lps. Had montis and a blasto but sold them

Elkhorn for sps

For livestock I have a cleaner shrimp, had snails but they all died after some time, don't know why tho.

Looking to get 2 banggai cardinals and a few snails if they live.

Not looking to add anything else for now, want to get it looking good, add some equipment and after that I may add some more fish and coral.
