    Hi guys,

Anyone have a spare (or new) UPS or know where I can buy an affordable one? It needs to run my two Tunze Re-circulation 'Silence' electronic pumps (1073.050)?

    Stats: Energy consumption at 18 V: max. 26 W; Energy consumption at 24 V:max. 43 W

Don't electric gate motors have a 24v battery backup? Are these cheap and easily accessible?

    AAAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH, Loadshedding:m35:

    Thanks:m106:

I run my 1073.050 on a 12v. Do you have the safety connector?
A gate motor battery will work also.
Also what is the height your return pump pumps to?

Intresting , is it possible to run other DC pumps this way using the 12v gate/alarm battery . Some pics. of the hook up will be nice.

    Battery backup

    Thanks buddy.
Yep, I have the Tunze safety connector...
I was thinking of a gate motor battery that charges up when Eskom actually allow us the privilege of electricity! So, that it can last about 4-5 hours, then automatically charge up again for the next time.
Pump return height is about 1,5 meters

What you now need is a trickle charger connected to your gate battery, which will automatically re-charge once the electricity comes on. Cheers Anita

Don't know if this can help but I am using a alarm power supply with battery backup for my Rw15 flow pump, just think you are going to have to add more battery's if you want it to run for 5 hours . here are some photos
