    Hi Guys,

Anybody in Cape Town have a 1000L drum to sell or which I can borrow for a day.

Want to start up my new tank ( 800 Litre ), but can't afford the salt at the moment due to blowing all my money on the tank and equipment.

Need the drum to fetch some water from the aquarium to start up the monster... :whistling:

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Regards

    Pierre

Pierre you can try jojo tanks available at builders
I bought 2x 500L storage tanks from them
I think they stock a wide variety and different sizes

I think for the price of the drum you would be better off buying the salt. :)

    Thanks @ NickW

I agree... thought it would work out cheaper than R 1200 which is what I am gonna pay for the salt.

    LOL

Drums were about 600 or 800 if not mistaken
Nice thing about them is I can store ro water for top ups and it lasts a few months
Also a 500 L drum is perfect the mix with a full bucket of salt
    1 bucket = 600L

Was thinking long term, also factor in cost of petrol going to and from pet store, over a long period it becomes a better investment

I have two 1000litre drums...the cage is damaged on one and the tap on the other..but you can swop the cage on the one and you will have one good drum..R400 and you can collect both.pm me if interested
