Hi guys I was planing on building a 1200x800x600 mm tank (lxbxh) but I want to go rimless or as close too what would you recommend for the thickness of the glass I would like the water level to be at 550mm what are your recommendations or ideas thanks :)

Does "rimless" mean no bracing?
If you are planning/willing to put something like euro bracing, then 10mm will suffice.
I don't have the links now, but there's a lot of websites with calculators for this question. Google is your friend!

12mm is good, i have the same size and so does @butcherman
i would however make a double floating base

12mm will give to a strength rating of 4.4 for sides and 11 for double base

mine is a little shallower ... and the 12mm is going nowhere !! (plenty of glass)

Thanks guys I have calculated it but better be safe than sorry so if water level is at 550mm will 12mm be fine? Without bracing

While the tank wouldnt necessarily crack. It will bow with 12 mm and no bracing at that height im sure..

550 with water at 500?
