    I have recently Got a new Camera as a Present- from Dad, to Dad.

    I thought of taking a full tank shot with the new and old Camera as well with the Cellphone to compare the quality etc. The devices are as follow:

    Sony Cybershot 7.2mp; Nokia N95 and the latest edition, the Canon 350D with all the lenses.

    So, I am going to post 03 pictures, named A; B; and C. Lets see if you can put the camera to the photo. By the way, I had Herkie and his wife over when I did the experiment (basically to prove something to myself), so, no Contrast adjustments was done, all pictures was taken in the "Raw" Format. Please do not judge the "blur" as I have taken the images without any support (Tri Pod etc). This is just about colour etc....

    Well guys, it goes like this:

    A= Canon

    B= Cellphone (I did the flash on purpose)

    C= Cybershot- and I still think the better photo of the lot.

    Just proves that certain Compact digitals take better (Tank) photos than your normal Slr digitals

    Good camera Andrew, but Calvin ARE STILL WRONG. The new camera is the CANON and the old Camera is the Cybershot. Cybershot photo was taken last- better photo according to me

    Hi Sean - I only saw this post now - I would not have thought that the Cybershot would have taken the better pic - BUT you are right. My choices would have been the same as Calvin's! I think that the Canon 350D might take better macro pics than the Cybershot - perhaps you should repeat this same test, BUT for MACRO pics this time around?

    The other thing is that it takes a little while to get the hang of all the functions of an SLR camera. White balance etc. Maybe with a bit of experimentation and reading the new one will improve for you.
