If it is a standard Boyu TL550 I would say that the built in lights are probably causing your fluctuations... Unless you have the new LED lighting configuration. I don't know how warm those get. Try leaving the front feeding lid open for a day and see if that helps to stabilise the temperature.
Just read through this whole thread... MIND BLOWING!
Congratulations on an inspirational setup. I love it.
Scares the hell out of me. I feel like I need to go back to school for 10 years just to grasp what you are all talking about.
Hi,
I am a newbie and looking to start a reasonably simple Marine setup.
I notice that there seem to be hundreds of new & second hand Boyu TL 550 tanks on sale.
Is there some sort of defect with them that everyone is trying to offload them?
Would this be a good/reliable setup to...
I see in the rules that Dibs only lasts a day then the deal must be finalised... Chuckle
I will have cash in hand.
Don't forget to send me your address Dean I'd hate to have to knock on every door in Cape Town.
Have a splendid day.
You build very neat, professional tanks. Obviously you are a perfectionist.
Why don't you try building up to a point where you do it full time. Your passion shows in your work and when you are working at your passion you are destined to be happy.
Good luck!
So, how do I get in touch with you? Can you send me an address?
Been looking for reasonably priced FX5's forever. If they are in good nick, I will take both of them.
