So far i have thankfully not lost any inhabitants, only my hermit is not as active as he normally is. Thanx for all the info here, i have saved alot of it for future reference.
yes there was plenty of water on the floor, not sure bout 300l though. Nemos Janitor, your math was spot on...200lt only raised to 1.020. Think my best bet here will be to mix 1kg salt mix at a time and add to my sump as per Albert Terego's suggestion. Im also i bit stumped as to how it got this...
okay thank you...i have 200lt saltwater mix so i think ill have enough. thank for all the help. i have added this 1st 10lt already. gonna b a long day at the office!!
k i have a 1.8x700x600, i have a few zoas and 2 torch corals, fish i only have a regal and lipstick tang, blenny and a clown. also some shrimps and a hermit. Tank has been running for bout 6 months now.
hi, i left my R0 unit on by mistake and went out, came home to a slightly flooded lounge. Problem no is that my salt level is sitting at 1.016. how can i go about raising this level back to 1,025 without stressing my fish any more?
thanks yes ill be doing just that, no cash left for things like reactors anyway! ill be doing a dsb like @Visser built with a denitrafying undergravel filter. and then just take it from there.
thanks mariusmeyer, i took a guess and set mine to 200mm....lucky guess. i have a deepish sump so i needed to raise my skimmer, what can i use other that egg crate. would i be able to construct something out of perspex?
one problem solved, now does anyone have any ideas what to do bout the noise entering the sump. lots of bubbles ect, i can live with it but would be nice to reduce it a little.
thanks that is what i was looking for...and a good pic too, just hope its not to wide for my overflow box, i may have to trim it down a little. will this help with the bubbling in the sump or do i need to modify that piping as well...trying to load pics.
