Very awesome light that! Im keen to see how your tank reacts.... And whether you will be able to run it at 100% eventually... I suspect 100% might be too much.

Well, blew the budget a bit today.... Picked up some essentials (RO unit & Refractometer) got a great deal from a masa reefer, but unfortunately the LED funds took a knock... I will start with my super-budget double barrel media reactor next weekend instead (probly cost about R100).

Same wavelengths and wattages as Radion G4pro 4 x Royal blue 4 x Blue 4 x UV 4 x Cool white 2 x violet 2 x green 2 x deep red 1 x warm white The whole puck is about the size of a marie biscuit, so should get great blending. Tried to keep the layout of the different colours the same too.

Hahaha, me too! Attached are the finalized board layouts.

Finalised my PCB designs for the LED unit, decided to seperate the puck from the driver board. Hopefully etch (or attempt to etch) the boards next weekend.

Evening all, was looking for some recomendations on a skimmer? Thinking QQ2 but maybe there is something else I'm not aware of? My Skimmer compartment is quite tight (I should have made it a little bigger looking back)

@brentch are you cutting & drilling acrylic yourself? Or getting it done somewhere? I have a few bits and pieces lying around, but cracked my fair share drilling etc... BTW dichloromethane is a brilliant adhesive for acrylic.

Its like a tank role model! We all wish that one day our nano could like this! It really is a thing of beauty!

Well, I'm almost done designing the PCB for my DIY LED unit, I think I will start a new thread for that build. It's definately the most detailed board I have designed, and will probably be problematic to etch... But hey, I'm gonna try anyway! 23 leds, same wavelengths and wattages as XR15G4...

And is the standard Red Sea Salt ok? The others are quite pricy, like coral pro...

Can you use Oasis Ro3 water to make saltwater? And for fresh water topups... Or anything else? Or do I HAVE to get an RO unit?

Didn't know that was an option.... But I think I'll stick to purpose made stuff.

Any suggestions on Subrate? Was looking at the Seachem meridian, seems like a cost effective option?
