Rescaping tank

Hi, I have a 90cm 280L system with 2 snowflake clowns, 2 blue green chromis, 2 bangai cardinals, fire shrimp and a few coral.

I want to rescape my tank since it is starting to look old and I can finally get the right type of rock which I always wanted.

I have a 60 cm 60 litre tank, I was thinking of moving my filter media and basically taking all the 60 litres needed for this tank from my main tank and moving the fish there for a week or so that I can rescape my tank. My question is, is the tank gonna be big enough for the fish for a week or so?

I can probably add my cardinals to my 10gallon/38litre tank with my one clownfish, but waa afraid of aggression.

That is small and coming from a bigger tank they will most probably stress and end up nipping.

Besides that , you said you had coral , even with everything from the original tank , you would end up with what I'm having now, kind of a mini cycle id say . My advice , set that cube up , let it sit for two days , check your water and see what is happening and get a full picture before just taking a chance .... especially with the sand , you going to have some die off digging it up which might = phosphates .

I know it's exciting but don't be in too much of a hurry . Even add some bacteria to your water to get things running properly quicker .

I would just keep them in tank and be careful with rescaping. Or catch them and put them in plastic container floating around in tank while rescaping, and release them afterwards. Just make sure all the new rocks are properly cycled (maybe use smaller tank for the rocks for a week or 2 to make sure there is no die off).
