Hi all,

I want to convert my TL 550 into a jelly tank. I have another 1.8m tank that is taking up a lot of time but I don't want my nano to run dry. I was thinking of adding some jellys but don't know where to start.

I have done very minimal reading about them as I have had time constraints. But will also do more research.

Has anyone attempted to keep jellys and has anyone converted a tank into a jelly safe tank?

@loumaggs has kept them and may be the best person to respond :)
From what I have read though the boyu may not be the best tank though because of amount of flow in the tank...someone else with more experience can confirm. ;)

As long as you can prevent them from getting stuck to the overflow.

The return pump would be the only pump providing flow. With the TL550 spraybar you can get a nice circular flow. Keeping them moving.

If i put a piece of perspex or something along those lines would the few holes at the top of the overflow still suck them in?

Thanks very much. @loumaggs can you give me tips about what you do for your jellies

nope.
the spraybar comes out on the left all the way to the back. Setting it up to flow out horizontally over the water surface would create a nice circular clock wise motion. With nothing in the way like rocks, everything should go nicely in clockwise circles round and round. Can test this with small sponge balls.

Just run it with tapwater first to test the flow.

I have the tank running properly. I have had the tank for just under a year now and have moved everything into my upgrade. So I will just add the sponge balls and take out the left over sand.

Will get back to you.
