Sump and alsorts

Hi all

I got a sump and some goodies yesterday on gum tree all the gadgets seem to work. The Skimmer is the only thing I recognise oh and the heater but I need some ID on the rest of them, here are some pics. Also sump took a knock yesterday when I picked it up from the guy I got it from and I need to repair it myself now the question I would like to ask is how do I need to go about it? The way I know best is to replace the whole side pain of glass But it’s a real mission as I am sure you can imagine now in your opinions can I get away with an over lapping glass patch with this crack or do I need to go the full Monty? The size is L1000mm x H500mm x W240mm

That crack will continue to run. If it was all the way to the top, then yes a patch up could work. But you do not know where it will run to. Rather replace the panel.

See the tank is not drilled with an overflow. Using an overflow box. Rather get it drilled and built an overflow chamber. Siphon overflow box is just something waiting to fail at some point.
 
the box with the rocks in looks like some sort of wet dry/trickle filter. And the last pic is a overflow box. As riaan said, get the tank drilled now that it is empty, syphon overflows will fail eventually given enough time.
