my 1.1m tank has been running now for 6 months. built by andrew for spaceboy whom sold it to a flo , then bought my me. glass is 10 mill .... the tanks up & running but its not level. any idea how to level it without empyting it ...

Risky but remove 75% of the water, level and return the water, should be ok but best is to completely remove all rock, fish, coral and water.

does the stand have adjustable feet? if not then not really as one would need to move the stand and get the stand level, then after the stand is level, the nexxt thing is to assess whether new polystyrene is needed.

i know emptying is not ideal, but to minimise stress and glass flex i wouldnt do it anyother way.

by how much are we talking? my nano has about 5mm and all ok, but being small and with one pump not much side force/stress

its under a mill ...... but how wud i lift the tank if i empty 75%

Is it causing problems?

if its under a mil it doesnt sound to bad
whats the tank stats, u say 1.1 length, water height and width

sory i meeant under a cm , height is 650mil , width is 600mil , its not causing any problems , doesnt look gud and i dnt want it to crack

water level?

Is the stand level? If not you could try using a hydraulic jack to lift it a bit. But still empty 75% of the DT

any bracing, the glass calc gives u a safety rating of 3.1, but if u dont want to empty, i would add 2 corner braces to be safe.

is the stand on carpet or tiles/solid floor?

but all in all, i think its not a prob, like u said it just looks a bit out.
unfortunately there is no easy way to level a tank thats full

think it has what u call euro bracing that is bracing along the edges of the tank ....

yes, thats it.
i think a little deviation should be fine, but like u said u want to be safe, then the option i can think of is to remove rocks etc and level stand by lifting and adding steel strips etc

but the only solution i can gaurantee is making the stand 100% level.
